Research Overview

  • Dr. Peterson joined CPMC’s Brain Health Center in 2013. She is board certified in psychiatry, neurology, and palliative medicine.
  • She has extensive experience in the symptom management and supportive care of patients with advanced neurologic disease.
  • At the Brain Health Center, Dr. Peterson works on the Integrated Care Initiative, developing an educational curriculum for caregivers of adults with cognitive impairment.
  • She investigates new advances in the treatment and support of patients with memory loss, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and gliomas.

 

Training


Dr. Peterson obtained her M.D. from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.  She completed a residency in neurology at the University of California, San Francisco, and a fellowship in neuro-oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York.
