Research Overview

 

  • Dr. Arshia Sadreddin specializes in movement disorders, deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and the treatment of dystonia. She is board certified in neurology.
  • Leading the movement disorders program at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), she conducts research studies in Parkinson’s disease (assessing motor and non-motor functions), cervical dystonia, and spasticity, and has experience as Principal Investigator for national, multicenter clinical trials evaluating the efficacy and safety of new treatments for these nervous system disorders.
  • Dr. Sadreddin presents nationally on advances in the management and treatment of Parkinson’s disease, and the characteristics and pathophysiology of movement disorders including essential tremor and dystonia.
  • In collaboration with other clinicians at the California Pacific Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Sadreddin provides medical management and surgical options, such as deep brain stimulation for treating these movement-related conditions.
  • Dr. Sadreddin is championing a Parkinson’s disease resource center at CPMC to provide support materials and classes for patients and their caregivers.
  • She is the Movement Disorders Lead for the Sutter Neurosciences Research Consortium.

 


Training

Dr. Sadreddin received her M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica, and she conducted residency training in neurology at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. She completed a fellowship in movement disorders and deep brain stimulation at the Barrow Neurological Institute/Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.
