Research Overview

 

  • Dr. David Chesak specializes in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) and headaches. Board certified in neurology and psychiatry, he presents internationally on new advances in the management of MS, and best practices in the treatment of neuromuscular disorders.
  • Dr. Chesak is a Principal Investigator for phase 1-4 multicenter clinical trials investigating the safety and efficacy of new therapies and combination agents for the treatment of MS, dystonia, and neuromuscular disorders.
  • At the Sutter Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Chesak helps lead a comprehensive program for MS patient care and clinical research, with projects ranging from single-center to international studies.
  • He is the Multiple Sclerosis Lead for the Sutter Neurosciences Research Consortium.

 


 

Training

Dr. Chesak received his M.D. from Chicago Medical School. He completed residency training in neurology and a fellowship in neurophysiology at the University of California at Davis. He has specialty training in the administration of Botox for neurologic disorders, and in conducting electromyography and nerve conduction velocity studies.
