Research Overview

  • Dr. Ault is a physician and physical therapist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders including disc herniations, spinal stenosis, and sciatica.
  • Board certified in neurology and pain medicine, Dr. Ault investigates new treatments for complex regional pain syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, and refractory pain after back surgery. She is a sub-investigator for clinical trials assessing the efficacy and safety of new therapies for sciatica/lumbar radiculopathy, and multiple sclerosis.
  • She provides non-operative medical care to patients with back pain, neck pain, and other musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Dr. Ault publishes articles and case reports in Headache and other peer-reviewed journals. She lectures on pain management and the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
  • She is the Pain Lead for the Sutter Neurosciences Research Consortium.

Training

Dr. Ault received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, CA. She completed residency training in neurology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and a fellowship in pain medicine at Dartmouth Medical Center.
